UltrOx/LA (Oxytetracycline Injectable Solution)
UltrOx/LA Injectable Solution contains 200 mg of oxytetracycline dihydrate
In 2-pyrrolidone vehicle system that has been shown to result in sustained oxytetracycline blood levels over a three to five day period.
In Poultry, administration of a single subcutaneous injection at a dosage rate of 0.25 ml/mg body weight has been shown to provide similar sustained oxytetracycline levels over a three day period, high initial levels within thirty minutes post injection and maintenance of these high levels over the initial 12 hours period.
Composition:
Each ml contains
Oxytetracycline Dihydrate I.P equivalent to Anhydrous Oxytetracycline 200 mg in 2-pyrolidone vehicle system.
UltrOx/LA Injectable Solution displays remarkable physical properties and is superior to some of the more dilute
Oxytetracycline Injectable Formulations in terms of viscosity, freezing point and syringeability. Post injection irritation and tissue toleration at the injection site is acceptable.
Indications
UltrOx/LA Injection is recommended for prolonged sustained antibiotic therapy and prophylactic activity is expected and where, for practical, economic or veterinary reasons, frequent animal handling and repeat dosing is not feasible.
Poultry (Broiler Breeders, Broiler Chickens, Turkeys):
For the prevention and treatment of infections susceptible to oxytetracycline, including Fowl Cholera, C.R.D. and C.C.R.D.
Administration & Dosage
Poultry: Single treatment of 0.25 ml/mg body weight by subcutaneous injection at one site. Normally a single treatment will be sufficient for usual susceptible diseases. Severe infections may require second dose on 3rd to 5th day following the initial injection.
Special Directions
Caution
UltrOx/LA Injectable Solution is not to be diluted with any other injection like normal saline, dextrose or sterile water nor administered concurrently together with vaccines or tonics.
Store below 300C. Avoid Freezing.
