ChloroTec-SP (Chloramphenicol Water Soluble Powder)

ChloroTec-SP contains Chloramphenicol which is broad spectrum antibiotic shown to have specific therapeutic activity against a wide variety of organisms, its activity was first demonstrated in culture filtrates from a species of soil organism collected in Venezuela, later designated as Streptomyces Venezualae. Chloramphenicol was subsequently isolated from culture filtrates, identified chemically, and latter synthesized.

ChloroTec-SP exerts its bacteriostatic action by inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible organisms. Complete suppression of the assimilation of ammonia and of the incorporation of amino acids, particularly glutamic acid, together with an increased formation of ribonucleic acid (RNA), lead to the inhibition of bacterial growth.

ChloroTec-SP even at low concentrations exerts a bacteriostatic effect on a wide range of pathogenic organisms and is indicated for infections caused by gram positive and gram negative bacteria, such as Staphylococci, Streptococci. Corynebacterium spp, E-coli, Klebsiella spp, Salmonella spp, Actinobacillus spp, Pasturella spp, Campylobacter, Actinomyces and Mycoplasma.

ChloroTec-SP is specially indicated in poultry for Salmonellosis, Pasturellosis, Colibacillosis, respiratory infections such as CRD Staphylococcal infections.

Indications:

For the treatment of Bacterial Enteritis, Bloody Loose droppings, Salmonellosis, Enterotoxaemia and respiratory tract infections. Effective against all infections caused by Chloramphenicol sensitive organisms.

Dosage:

For Poultry Medication
1 gram in 5 Litres of water or 50 grams in 100 kg feed.

ChloroTec-SP solution should be made every day and only medicated water should be allowed for 3-5 days during treatment.

Double the Dose for Breeders

For Large Animals / Small Animals

50 mg ChloroTec-SP per kg body weight per day for 3-5 days in water or feed. Withdraw treatment 5 days before slaughter.
